Volunteer opportunity description
The Law Center seeks a volunteer Event Coordinator to market, organize, and facilitate the Law Center’s program of special education law training seminars for parents, teachers, advocates and attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outreach & marketing for programs
- Coordinate logistics including site preparation, registration, and preparing course materials and surveys
- Facilitate each seminar & provide support for presenters, including manning webinar technology, tracking attendance, distributing surveys and processing requests for continuing legal education credit.
This is an unpaid position. We encourage those who can receive class credit for their participation to apply. This position is available year round and is open immediately.
Required Hours
- 15-20 hours/week, at least a six month commitment. Schedule is flexible but must be regular

Requirements
The ideal candidate is interested in nonprofit administration, marketing, special education/disability rights, and event planning, and has excellent organization and communication skills. College or graduate students as well as recent graduates are welcome to apply. Business, marketing & sales experience are helpful, and an entrepreneurial spirit is a huge plus.
