Spiderman Presents Summer Fun Service Day - In Francisville and at Wilson Park!!
This month, the Mayor’s Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service is very excited to be one of ten U.S. cities approached by Sony Pictures to host a day of service in celebration of the upcoming major motion picture The Amazing Spider-Man.
On Tuesday, June 26 from 11 AM – 3 PM, Philadelphians of all ages are invited to gather at the Francisville Recreation Center (1737 Francis Street, on the corner of 19th and Brown Streets) to take part in a wide range of service projects, including: tree pruning, gardening, card making for the elderly, and distribution of information packets to local seniors.
In addition to the service projects, volunteers will be able to participate in family friendly activities in a festival-like atmosphere. There will be a live DJ, party favors, and face painting. Volunteers will be provided with refreshments and entered into a raffle to win exciting prizes, including t-shirts, DVDs, and tickets to an exclusive screening of The Amazing Spider-Man!

Also on Tuesday, June 26th from noon until 5 p.m. to visit the Philadelphia Youth Music Program at Wilson Park Community Center, 2500 Jackson Street. Volunteers are needed to support an outdoor youth talent showcase and music seminar!
